IN KEEPING WITH OUR VALUES, BoyarMiller's green initiative was developed to heighten the awareness of our employees, visitors and clients to improve and protect our environment through practical, meaningful methods. The Green program at BoyarMiller addresses resource conservation, green purchasing, recycling, energy efficiency and more. Our goal is to focus on what we can accomplish daily to create a greener, environmentally friendly workplace.
Paper Reduction Policy: We have set a goal to reduce paper consumption by 25% during 2009. In an effort to meet this goal we will promote a "think before you copy or print" attitude and implement numerous strategies to help reduce paper consumption including promoting electronic communications and storage of documents and data.
Recycling: We have an active recycling program to reclaim office paper. Each employee is provided a desk-side recycling container to be used solely for collecting used office paper. Central recycling containers are located throughout the office for collection and offsite shredding and recycling. All copy paper used at BoyarMiller is now comprised of recycled content. Coffee cups, legal pads, folders and others supplies have varying levels of post consumer and/or recycled content.
Products: When possible, the firm purchases recyclable, renewable and sustainable products, including those with the Green Seal, and electronic equipment that has attained Energy Star ratings.
At BoyarMiller, we remain committed to improving and innovating our activities in these area, as we strive toward meeting the "Law Office Climate Challenge" issued by the American Bar Association and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
