BoyarMiller Law Clerk member of University of Houston Mock Trial Team that wins 2010 National Ethics Trial Competition

HOUSTON, Texas (March 23, 2010) — Sara Waller, a Law Clerk at BoyarMiller, was an advocate on the University of Houston Law Center's Mock Trial team that won the 2010 National Ethics Trial Competition in Sacramento, California in March 2010. A total of 16 teams from law schools across the country competed in the competition.
In addition to winning the competition, Waller was named Best Advocate based on her combined scores for the semi-finals and final rounds. During the competition, Waller and her partner tried the malpractice case on both the side of the disgruntled client and the defendant attorney.
The final round of the competition was judged by a prestigious panel that included Judge William Shubb, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California; retired Judge Richard Goldstone, Constitutional Court of South Africa; Justice James Hardesty, Nevada Supreme Court; Nancy Sheehan, senior partner, Porter Scott, and past president of the Sacramento Chapter of the American Board of Trial Attorneys; and Joe Babich, senior partner, Dreyer Babich Buccola Callaham & Wood.
