Lani Durio joined BoyarMiller’s Litigation Group in September 2017 after participating in the firm’s Summer Associate Program in 2016. Lani’s practice is primarily focused on serving clients in a wide range of complex commercial and employment law disputes.

Lani attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, where she graduated with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude. She received CALI Awards for Academic Excellence in her legal research and writing classes, was the Assistant Editor in Chief and Assistant Note and Comment Editor of the South Texas Law Review, and was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal honor society. In her third year of law school, she was published in the South Texas Law Review.

Lani is also a national champion moot court advocate who participated in South Texas’ varsity advocacy program. Over the course of her six total competitions, Lani received a Best Overall Speaker award and five Best Appellate Brief awards. In 2017, the American Society of Legal Writers selected one of Lani’s appellate briefs as the second best moot court brief in the country. As a third year law student, she was selected as a Dean’s Outstanding Advocate, and inducted into the Order of the Barristers, Order of the Scribes, and Order of the Lytae.

Prior to attending law school, Lani attended Clarkson University in upstate, New York, where she graduated with a degree in political science, with distinction. She was a member and two-year captain of Clarkson’s volleyball team, a two-time NCAA AVCA All-American, and was selected as the Liberty League Player of the Year as well as the New York Region Player of the Year in 2014.
