Texas Lobo Trucking LLC Acquires Assets of New Mexico-based Lobo Trucking, Ltd.

HOUSTON, Texas (December 28, 2010) — Attorneys in BoyarMiller’s Business Group — Steve Kesten, Shareholder, Gus Bourgeois, Sr. Associate, and Gavin Parker, Associate — represented Texas Lobo Trucking LLC, a subsidiary of Sunland Capital LLC, in the acquisition of the assets of Lobo Trucking, Ltd., a New Mexico limited partnership providing fluid handling and logistics services to the oilfield in Southeast New Mexico and West Texas. Sunland Capital LLC is a private equity firm located in Houston.

Following the acquisition, which closed in late November 2010, Sunland Capital LLC intends to continue to operate the business under the Lobo Trucking name, with all of the employees remaining with the company.

This latest acquisition follows Sunland’s earlier acquisition in 2010 of Pete Martin Drilling, Inc., which was Sunland’s first portfolio company. Pete Martin Drilling is a specialty drilling services company located in Utah with locations in Colorado and Wyoming, and operating throughout the Rocky Mountain states and Pennsylvania. Pete Martin Drilling specializes in drilling, setting pipe and cementing services for conductors, ratholes, mouseholes and cellars.

Texas Lobo Trucking LLC (dba Lobo Trucking) is a premier provider of fluid handling and logistics services to the oilfield in Southeast New Mexico and West Texas. Lobo provides vac trucks, kill trucks, winch trucks, reverse units, frac tanks, test tanks and other oilfield tanks. Lobo also provides fresh water, brine water and other oilfield chemicals as well as acid pumping services to its customers.
