David Dorris joined BoyarMiller’s Litigation Group in 2020. His practice consists of representing professionals, including doctors, lawyers, real estate inspectors, among others, in commercial litigation. He also assists clients in disputes regarding labor and employment issues.

David Dorris is a member of BoyarMiller’s Litigation Group. He has varied experience in helping clients face disputes in the professional services sector, including representing doctors, lawyers, real estate inspectors, and other practicing professionals. Additionally, he has represented community associations and its board members in a wide variety of disputes. Previously, David worked for a nationwide construction supplier and now represents companies and individuals involved in construction defect disputes. He also has experience guiding clients through labor and employment disagreements throughout Texas. David is focused on building long-term relationships with his clients and provides counsel to assist them in achieving their immediate objectives and future business goals.

Successfully negotiated non-suit of client through drafting and presenting an anti-slapp motion pursuant to the Texas Citizens Participation Act on behalf of an individual board member

Argued and successfully obtained summary judgment on all claims by a plaintiff that waged claims of breach of contract

Argued and obtained a dismissal for claims of employment discrimination

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of service center for the mentally handicapped for claims brought by the plaintiff that violated both Texas and Federal laws

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of Homeowner’s Association for claims of breach of contract, diminution of value, and breach of fiduciary duty owed to plaintiff
