CLE topic: #Unplug? Legal and Ethical Challenges for Employers in an Online World

BoyarMiller offered an interactive workshop on the legal and ethical considerations in the employment life cycle from pre-employment through post-termination. Screening applicants, monitoring policies, remote work considerations, and access to social media during and post-employment can create ethical questions and legal ramifications for every company. The panel addressed common concerns during the many stages of employment and inside counsel got the chance to collaborate on best practices for internal policies and procedures.

11:00 am – 5:00 pm  Golf (Tournament Shot Gun Start at 12:00 noon and Lessons begin at 1:00 pm)

Last year’s event was also held at the Houstonian Hotel & Spa, the day began with over 200 local members enjoying two hours of ethics CLE over breakfast. After the CLE presentations, members and sponsors either stay for a networking lunch at the Houstonian prior to their spa appointments or head to the nearby Memorial Park Golf Course to enjoy lunch and a day of golf.  The day ends with members and sponsors reconvening for an evening reception to further socialize and network and announce winners of raffle prizes and golf awards.

This fun and informative event is incredibly popular with our members and sponsors. It highlights the great value of the ACC membership by providing a full day of fun and pampering while also providing great CLE and networking opportunities.
