HOUSTON (April 27, 2021) – In a video awards announcement produced by Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Houston on April 20, BoyarMiller clients Amtel Partners, LLC and Amtel New York Holdings Inc.’s acquisition of the assets of Personal Communications Center, Inc. was named a winner of ACG’s 2020 Deal of the Year Award.

Texas-based Amtel Partners is led by CEO Andy Priest, President and COO Jeff Bookout, and CFO Will Parkey. Amtel is one of the largest T-Mobile Premium Retailer (TPR) operators with 248 locations across eighteen states. Amtel is led by long-tenured wireless retail industry veterans who manage a team of highly talented store-level employees that deliver world-class customer service and leading T-Mobile system operational performance.

ACG Houston is focused on celebrating Houston’s booming middle-market deal community. Their mission is to honor the deals and dealmakers who drive middle-market growth resulting in job growth, capital formation, and the advancement of meaningful business relationships. The BoyarMiller team included co-founding Shareholder Bill Boyar and Associates Alex Parker Lippert and Vickie Wang. BoyarMiller represented Amtel in a transaction to acquire substantially all assets of Personal Communications Center, Inc., which operated 79 T-Mobile Premium Retailer stores throughout Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia. BoyarMiller also represented Amtel in its efforts to acquire senior debt financing to fund a portion of the purchase price. The transaction closed in July 2020.

“Amtel is a great client of the firm, and we love being a part of their team,” said Bill Boyar. “The PCC acquisition was really challenging for many reasons, not the least of which is that the entire transaction was done during the lockdown and quarantine. Actually completing this acquisition in July of last year was a very satisfying accomplishment for our team.”
