David Pursell, Managing Director, Head of Securities
Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co.
As Managing Director and Head of Securities, Dave is responsible for TPH’s analysis of global oil & gas markets, including inventory and price forecasts, supply/demand modeling and rigcount/production relationships. He is a board member of private energy companies Oxane Materials and Unconventional Gas Resources. He was a Founding Partner of Pickering Energy Partners, the predecessor to TPH. Prior to that, Dave was Director of Upstream Research at Simmons & Company, International and spent eight years as a Petroleum Engineer at S.A. Holditch & Associates, now a division of Schlumberger. Dave gained operational experience with ARCO Alaska, Inc., in an operations engineering function. He holds a BS and MS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Stephen Ingram, Sr. Technology Manager
Halliburton
Stephen’s focus at Halliburton is on business development for onshore resources. He began his career with Halliburton in 2002 as a field hydraulic fracture engineer focused on North American unconventional reservoirs & shale asset development. Today, Stephen is focused on the development and exploration of the primary development assets in South Texas, specifically the Eagle Ford and Pearsall Shale’s. Recently Stephen was nominated to the Texas Railroad Commissions Eagle Ford Shale Taskforce by Commissioner David Porter; in additional to committee board roles for multiple Society of Petroleum Engineer conferences. He has been published over a dozen times in forums such as SPE, JPT, Oil and Gas Journal, American Oil and Gas Investor; and holds multiple patents. Stephen holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and an MS in Natural Gas Engineering & Management and an MBA from the University of Oklahoma.

Tom Hargrove, Managing Director — Gulfstar Group
Tom is a co-founder of GulfStar Group and has more than 30 years of investment banking experience. Prior to GulfStar’s formation, he served as a Senior Vice President of Rotan Mosle Inc. (1986 to 1990) and First Vice President at Underwood, Neuhaus & Co., Inc. (1979 to 1986), where he was responsible for institutional private placements. Prior to 1979, he served as Assistant Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department at First City National Bank. Tom is a director of Commercial Alliance Insurance Company and RIMCO Royalty Partners. He holds a BA in Economics from The University of Texas.
