Represented developer/purchaser in acquisition of large acreage tract in Harris County and negotiation of water and sewer service contracts to provide for water production plant, wastewater treatment plant, and related facilities to serve development of the tract.

Represented a former Enron executive in a preference action brought by the bankruptcy trustee. The trustee brought suit to recover a severance payment received just prior to the bankruptcy filing. The client also had claims against Enron and a non-bankrupt subsidiary. After discovery and substantive briefing before the Enron bankruptcy judge, a settlement was reached with the client agreeing to pay less than 18% of the amount the trustee was originally seeking to recover.

Represented a dentist and her practice against claims by another dentistry practice for tortious interference. The plaintiff alleged the defendant tortiously interfered with a noncompetition agreement it had with another local dentist by conspiring to solicit patients in violation of the agreement. Successfully obtained an early dismissal in exchange for a nominal settlement payment.

Wind up and exit of Norwegian public company from the business of operating offshore seismic vessels, including advice regarding settlement of multiple employment contracts.

Represented a Houston based design and architectural millwork company in the $25,000,000 sale of its operating assets to a publicly traded company

Represented a major oil and gas company in a breach of joint venture claim. The joint venture related to a fractionation facility and the joint venture partner’s failure to properly allocate funds. Two days after the opposing side answered the lawsuit filed on behalf of the client a settlement was reached which gave the client 100% of the relief requested in the petition.

Represented client in $40 million commercial real estate transaction, including the structuring of the transaction from development stages and financing through completion

Represented company asserting claims against former CEO and majority shareholder for breaches of fiduciary duties, fraud, and breach of contract.
