Houston Bar Association Awards BoyarMiller for its Pro Bono Commitment

HOUSTON (May 5, 2022) – BoyarMiller has been selected as a midsize law firm recipient of the 2022 HBA Harris County Bench Bar Pro Bono Awards for creation of its LABB program.
LABB stands for Legal Assistance for Black-owned Businesses and was developed by BoyarMiller to deliver pro bono legal help to Black-owned and managed for-profit businesses.
“This program is one way we work to contribute in a meaningful way to the community. We are inspired to help Black entrepreneurs, who meet the criteria of the program, advance their business and achieve their goals through strategic legal services,” said BoyarMiller Shareholder Hilary Tyson. “We appreciate the recognition from the Houston Bar Association for the acknowledgment of our firm’s commitment to the community.”
Through LABB, BoyarMiller has provided legal work on various matters including establishing deed restrictions, developing formation documents for new business ventures, business filings, various legal agreements, non-disclosure agreements for employees, and more.
The HBA Harris County Bench Bar Pro Bono Awards recognize outstanding pro bono work performed during the previous year.
