Birkman International is leading the industry in behavioral and occupational assessment through the Birkman Method – a proprietary methodology that assesses personality and is used widely in the fields of career coaching, leadership development, human resources management, and organizational design.

Founded in 1951 by innovative organizational psychologist Dr. Roger W. Birkman, Birkman International is headquartered in Houston, Texas with an extensive global reach. Sharon Birkman, Chairman and CEO of Birkman International, followed in her father’s footsteps and is now at the helm of the family-owned company. Her leadership has been instrumental with ushering in a new era of product development and training initiatives during a time of unprecedented growth.

Sharon Birkman shared her thoughts on impact they provide to their clients. “We humans are hardwired for social connection. Sharon assumed her leadership role at Birkman in 2002 following a career as a professional musician and musical director.
