Chris Hanslik serves on south Texas College of Law’s first annual state of the legal job market forum

HOUSTON, Texas (January 22, 2010) — Chris Hanslik, BoyarMiller’s Vice Chairman and Litigation Group Shareholder, was invited by the Career Resources Center at South Texas College of Law to participate in their First Annual State of the Legal Job Market Forum. The forum took place on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, in the Emilie Slohm Dining Room at South Texas from 2:30 – 4:00 pm.

Unlike in many major U.S. markets, Texas legal employers have continued to hire in a broad spectrum of practice areas. However, many employers, taking a cue from their national counterparts, have been noticeably more cautious in their hiring. The primary purpose of the event was to provide some validity to our findings and to provide students with first-hand information regarding the state of legal job market and the Houston job market in particular.
