Larry Wilson Joins BoyarMiller as New Shareholder
“BoyarMiller has an exceptional reputation for client service and maintains a strong internal culture—and that’s what excites me about the firm,” said Wilson. “The firm is a great fit for me at this stage of my career, and I know we will deliver quality legal services to my clients.”
BoyarMiller Chairman Chris Hanslik said: “Larry is an impressive lawyer and is known for his extensive experience with internal investigations and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank Acts. We are so pleased he is now a shareholder at BoyarMiller and will be a great mentor to our associates as well as add legal depth and strength to the firm.”
Prior to private practice, Wilson formed the legal department of Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc., a publicly traded manufacturer and distributor of industrial, oilfield and military equipment, and served as its Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel from 1979 until 2001. During his tenure, he was responsible for all legal aspects of the business as it grew from approximately $300 million to over $1 billion in annual revenues. He represented the company in connection with the construction and operation of power plants throughout the Western Hemisphere, the award and performance of three major contracts for the manufacture and supply of tactical vehicles to the United States Army, more than $500 million in acquisitions, and the $900 million sale of the company’s turbine equipment business to the General Electric Company.
BoyarMiller is a 28-year-old Houston-based law firm comprised of two practice groups: business and litigation. The business group serves multinational companies, middle-market businesses and entrepreneurs in need of collaborative and strategic representation.
