Sunland Capital LLC Closes On First Acquisition
HOUSTON, Texas (April 11, 2010) — BoyarMiller represented Sunland Capital LLC, a new private equity firm located in Houston, in the acquisition of substantially all assets of Pete Martin Drilling, Inc. Steve Kesten, Shareholder, Gus Bourgeois, Sr. Associate, and Forrest Gordon, Associate, in BoyarMiller’s Business Group handled the transaction.
Pete Martin Drilling is a specialty drilling company principally located in Utah and having offices in Colorado and Wyoming that specializes in setting pipe and cementing services for conductors, ratholes, mouseholes and cellars. The acquisition included the purchase of the operating assets of Pete Martin Drilling, real estate located in Utah and the helicopter of one of Pete Martin’s affiliates used to transport workers to remote drilling sites.
This was Sunland’s first of many anticipated acquisitions.
