HOUSTON (March 13, 2017) – Texas Super Lawyers has selected six BoyarMiller attorneys to its 2017 Rising Stars list, to be published in the April 2017 edition of Texas Monthly Magazine.
Rising Stars is a rating of outstanding young lawyers using a patented multiphase selection process with evaluations based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. No more than 2.5 percent of Texas attorneys are named to Rising Stars.
2017 is the first year for Whitney Brieck, an Associate in BoyarMiller’s Litigation Group, to be named a Rising Star. Whitney’s multi-faceted practice involves clients in the financial, commercial leasing, healthcare, and energy industries, in both state and federal court and in international arbitration. Colby Hodges, also an Associate in the Litigation Group, has been a Rising Star since 2014. Colby’s practice focuses on the representation of business entities in complex commercial litigation matters, as well as labor and employment disputes.
This is the fourth consecutive year for Philip Dunlap, a Shareholder in BoyarMiller’s Business Group, and David Stockel, a Shareholder in BoyarMiller’s Litigation Group, to be named to the Rising Star list. Dunlap’s practice primarily consists of corporate, private securities and real estate transactions as well as serving as outside general counsel in a variety of matters. Stockel’s practice is focused on commercial litigation, employment and intellectual property disputes, products and premises liability, and energy-related matters both onshore and offshore.
This is also the fourth consecutive year that Blake Royal, a Shareholder in BoyarMiller’s Business Group, has been named to the Rising Star list. It is the fifth consecutive year for Andrew Pearce, a Shareholder in BoyarMiller’s Litigation Group. Royal handles a variety of real estate and corporate transactions. Pearce represents both individuals and corporations in all types of commercial and business litigation.
