Hello Friends,

April has been a month of growth, awards, celebrations, and even a solar eclipse.

Texas Capital Bank recently released its 2024 Texas Economic Outlook Report, and the findings are upbeat. The survey, which polled middle-market business leaders and executives in Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio, revealed some exciting themes:

• Business leaders have an optimistic outlook on the national and stateside economy. Two-thirds held a generally positive outlook.
• Business leaders are most excited about opportunities for growth and expansion in the state. Specifically, 14% of leaders in Houston are most excited about the influx of businesses moving to Texas. This is exciting to see because we’ve offered guidance for new to Texas businesses for many years.
• Economically speaking (and not surprisingly), inflation and rising interest rates are impacting business decisions. Business leaders are also monitoring labor costs and hiring.

In more statewide news, much of Texas benefited from the recent solar eclipse. In fact, the economic impact could be as much $1.4 billion for Texas, mostly for metropolitan areas along the I-35 corridor.

Closer to home, BoyarMiller made an impressive showing at the ACG awards this year. Six deals were recognized as finalists.
