An Ongoing Commitment to Community
“Our goal is to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, through the legal services we provide and through service to the community.” – Bill Boyar

While Bill Boyar may be known for the numerous professional accolades he has received throughout his career and the business challenges he solves for clients, several nonprofit organizations also know he is a generous provider of volunteer leadership and business counsel.
Bill serves several Houston organizations including SEARCH Homeless Services where he was on the board for 10 years and served as chairman from March 2007 – June 2009 and again July 2013 – December 2015.
SEARCH recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Employment Services and Care Hub at 2015 Congress Avenue. The new facility will help enhance case management services for homeless individuals and families to exit homelessness and regain their independence.
KIPP Houston Public Schools, where Bill serves as Board Chair, helps underserved students develop the academic skills, habits and character qualities necessary to succeed. Recently, KIPP celebrated 22 years with a special dinner that raised more than $1.2 million for its scholastic programs.
Additionally, Bill is Chair of the Executive Advisory Board of the University of Houston Bauer College of Business Graduate Real Estate Program. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation, which recognizes Texas business leaders who inspire entrepreneurial spirit and community leadership.
“Offering advice and guidance to nonprofits is more than a supplement to a professional career,” said Bill. “For me, it is a passion because I believe one of the greatest gifts we can give is helping others by sharing our knowledge and experiences. Through community service, we live our own personal values,” said Bill.
