BoyarMiller Advises on the Acquisition of Quest Design & Fabrication and Quest Architectural Millwork by UFP Industries

HOUSTON (April 13, 2020) – BoyarMiller provided legal counsel in the acquisition of the operating assets of Houston-based Quest Design & Fabrication LLC and Quest Architectural Millwork LLC by an affiliate of Universal Forest Products, Inc. (NASDAQ: UFPI), which closed on March 13, 2020. Quest Design & Fabrication and Quest Architectural Millwork were led by CEO Jon Deutser, who will continue to run the company.

Based near Houston, Texas, Quest specializes in designing, fabricating and installing premium millwork and case goods for a variety of commercial uses, including builders’ sales centers, design studios, hospitality, corporate offices, and healthcare. In 2019, they had approximately $22 million in sales.

The BoyarMiller team included co-founding Shareholder Bill Boyar, and Business Associate Travis L. Johnson. GulfStar Group served as the financial advisor to Quest and was led by Managing Director Colt Luedde, along with Vice President Charlie Craig, Associates Jon Sanfelippo and Sarah Wilson, and Analyst MG Jadick.
