BoyarMiller Shareholder Hilary Tyson Honored with Houston Bar Association President’s Award

HOUSTON (May 12, 2026): BoyarMiller is proud to announce that BoyarMiller Shareholder Hilary Tyson received the Houston Bar Association (HBA) President’s Award 2026 in recognition of her contributions as co-chair of the AIDS Outreach Committee. Tyson has served on this committee since the 2016-2017 bar year.

The HBA President’s Awards honor members who demonstrate exceptional volunteer contributions to the organization, including leadership of special initiatives, enhancement of committee efforts, and advancement of community service projects.

Award recipients were recognized at the HBA Annual Dinner on May 7, 2026 where Tyson accepted the award along with her committee co-chair David Miller of Amaro Law Firm. BoyarMiller sponsored the 2026 Annual Dinner in support of the HBA and its mission and is further committed to the HBA by enrolling 100 percent of our attorneys as members of the HBA (The 100 Club).

The HBA AIDS Outreach Committee is responsible for the Adopt-a-Family program that provides holiday gifts for families affected by HIV or AIDS by soliciting and matching firms and corporations with families. The committee also assists Omega House hospice by providing meals and household goods for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, visiting with the residents, and completing service projects on the property.

“I am honored to accept the Houston Bar Association President’s Award on behalf of our committee,” said Tyson. “Our work reflects a shared commitment to serving the community and giving back to Houston, and I am deeply proud of the dedication of our committee members and the continued support of the HBA community.”

Tyson’s practice as a member of BoyarMiller’s Real Estate Group focuses on commercial real estate and related business transactions. She has over 20 years experience in the practice of real estate law representing developers, landlords and tenants in residential, office, industrial, retail, restaurant and mixed-use spaces. She continues her interest in real estate and serving the community by her active participation and work with various community and non-profit organizations, such as serving on the ULI Houston Urban Plan Committee, ULI Houston’s Development of Distinction Committee, the Properties Committee of the Girl Scouts San Jacinto Council, and CREW Houston’s Outreach Committee and Mentoring and Leadership Committee. Hilary also actively serves on BoyarMiller’s Legal Assistance for Black-owned Businesses (LABB) initiative.
