Ep 031 - Johnny Carrabba's Key to Success in Hospitality

Johnny is the founder of The Original Carrabba’s Restaurant on Kirby Drive in Houston, Texas and the inspiration for the nationwide chain of restaurants.

Johnny talks about his passion for culture, humility, and good old fashioned courtesy as he shares his ups and downs with the evolution of the restaurant industry and his original vision for expansion.

He believes the keys to success are in the Carrabba’s fundamentals: food, service, cleanliness, energy and enthusiasm. Comparing running a restaurant to coaching a football team is not only a true mark of  Texan, but he shares if he really was destined for this role prior to birth.
