Four BoyarMiller Client Deals Named Finalists in ACG Houston Deal of the Year Awards

HOUSTON (April 14, 2023) – Four of BoyarMiller’s client transactions completed in 2022 have been named by the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) as finalists for the Sixth Annual Deal of the Year Awards, which celebrate Houston’s middle-market deal community.

ACG recognizes the deals and dealmakers driving middle-market growth in Houston resulting in economic and corporate growth, strategic impact, capital formation, and the advancement of meaningful business relationships.

BoyarMiller’s four transaction finalists are:

• In the manufacturing category, the Acquisition of Direct Scaffolding Supply by Highlander Partners, L.P. handled by Shareholder Larry Wilson, Shareholder John Ransom, and Associate Jet A. McGuire representing Direct Scaffolding
• In the renewables & sustainability category, the acquisition of Joule Processing by Plug Power Inc. with Shareholder Steve Kesten representing Joule Processing
• In the industrial services – corporate strategic acquisition category, the acquisition of C&D Scrap Metal by Merchants Metal Recycling LL CD LLC, a portfolio company of Company of Merchants with Shareholder John Ransom and Senior Associate Travis L. Johnson representing C&D Scrap Metal
• In the transportation & logistics category, the Acquisition of E Squared Marine Services by CTC Wildcat, LLC, a subsidiary of Campbell Transportation Company, Inc. handled by Shareholder Bill Boyar, Shareholder Lyndsay Fincher, and Senior Associate Taylor Gaver representing E Squared

The ACG Houston Deal of the Year Award finalists were ranked by an independent panel of top business leaders. The nomination criteria included transaction value range, industry focus and type of transaction, as well as anecdotal commentary on what makes the deal unique. Judges evaluated deals based on the parties’ submissions as well as the overall story, economic and strategic impact, stakeholder value, and professional expertise.

The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 25, at River Oaks Country Club.
