HOUSTON (July 7, 2026) – BoyarMiller is pleased to announce that Ky Jurgensen has been appointed to the State Bar of Texas Pattern Jury Charge Committee for Family and Probate. Pattern jury charges, sometimes called jury instructions, are the questions, instructions, and definitions a judge gives to a jury to guide deliberations. Published by the State Bar of Texas every two years, the Pattern Jury Charges serve as a practical resource for judges and attorneys handling trial matters in Texas family and probate cases.

Jurgensen earned recognition as a member of The National Order of Barristers in 2009. While attending St. Mary’s University School of Law, he was named to the Dean’s List from 2006 to 2009 and served as Associate Editor of the St. Mary’s Law Journal from 2008 to 2009. He is affiliated with the Houston Bar Association and has also supported pro bono engagements in Harris and Montgomery Counties.
