BoyarMiller Real Estate Practice Grows as Attorney Chris Barteau Joins Firm

HOUSTON (September 29, 2022) – BoyarMiller announces that real estate attorney Chris Barteau has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the firm’s growing Real Estate Group.

Barteau was previously assistant general counsel for The Hanover Company, a private real estate company specializing in high-quality multi-family residential properties nationwide. He also was associate general counsel for Christian Brothers Automotive Corporation where he managed extensive real estate transactions and negotiations.

“With his deep experience in real estate matters, Chris is a welcome addition to our firm,” said Blake Royal, shareholder and chair of the firm’s Real Estate Group. “In addition to his transactional real estate work, Chris has a background in oil and gas and general corporate governance to provide his clients with insightful business counsel to formulate and execute effective real estate strategies.”

Barteau worked full-time during law school as a Landman for an oil company and took classes at night. He graduated South Texas College of Law, Cum Laude, and also received a Transactional Law Practice Certificate.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, and a volunteer with Bayou City Blessings.
