Alex Parker joined BoyarMiller’s Business Group in August 2017.  Her practice is primarily devoted to representing domestic and foreign entities and individuals in a broad range of corporate and real estate transactions including complex mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation and restructuring, corporate governance, leasing and land acquisition.

Alex Parker joined BoyarMiller’s Business Group in August 2017.  Her practice is primarily devoted to representing domestic and foreign entities and individuals in a broad range of corporate and real estate transactions including complex mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation and restructuring, corporate governance, leasing and land acquisition.

Prior to joining BoyarMiller, Alex was in-house counsel for a technology-based company in Houston.  Her experience as in-house counsel allows her to intimately understand the needs of a growing business and the expectations for outside counsel.

While attending South Texas College of Law, Alex served as the Assistant Articles Editor and Assistant Notes and Comments Editor of the South Texas Law Review. Alex was proud to be chosen as a student member of the Garland R. Walker American Inn of Court. She was a Dean Scholar and on the Dean’s Honor List. In law school, Alex interned for the Honorable Martha Hill Jamison in the Fourteenth Court of Appeals and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

Mergers and Acquisitions

  • Represented a designer, developer and producer of antenna systems and radio frequency circuits in the sale of its capital stock to an Irish based technology company.
  • Represented Better Bags, Inc. (a distributor of plastic bags used in the supermarket industry) in the sale of substantially all of its assets to Hercules Poly, Inc.

Private Equity/Venture Capital

  • Represented Houston-based Welcome Group in the contribution of its portfolio of real property to a newly-formed joint venture with New York-based Almanac Realty Investors, which committed $300 million in growth capital to the new venture.

Real Estate

  • Represented developer in drafting subdivision restrictions and related property owner association governance documents.
  • Represented real estate developers in the acquisition of raw land for residential construction.
